Electrical Design Engineer - Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts for automated machinery and systems.
• Select appropriate electrical components, including PLCs, HMIs, motors, and sensors, ensuring system compatibility and reliability.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation for manufacturing and installation.
• Perform control system testing and troubleshooting during the build and commissioning phases.
• Liaise with mechanical engineers, software developers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Stay abreast of new automation technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical design for automation and control systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI design principles.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
