Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their growing team in Liverpool . You will be responsible for creating electrical schematics, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring the seamless integration of automated systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control panels and systems for automated machinery and processes.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software.
- Select appropriate electrical components, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation control systems.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and electrical codes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on industrial automation.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI software.
- Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Strong understanding of motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and power distribution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
