About the Role
Our client, a leader in industrial automation solutions, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to enhance their team in Liverpool . This role is critical for designing and developing electrical control systems for automated manufacturing processes and machinery. You will be responsible for creating schematics, selecting components, and ensuring the seamless integration of electrical and control systems that drive efficiency and productivity for their clients. This hybrid position allows for flexibility while ensuring close collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical control panels and systems for industrial machinery and automation processes.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic using CAD software.
- Select appropriate electrical components, PLCs, HMIs, and safety devices based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with software engineers and mechanical designers to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of control systems on the factory floor and at client sites.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 60204) and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in electrical design for industrial automation, control systems, or machinery.
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI configuration.
- Solid understanding of industrial networking, VFDs, and safety circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
