Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layouts for power systems.
- Specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and generators.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection studies using industry-standard software.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., BS 7671, IEC standards).
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather information and verify installation accuracy.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the power and energy sector .
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and power system analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations is essential for this role in Birmingham .
