Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and control panels using CAD software.
• Specify electrical components, equipment, and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, installation guides, and testing procedures.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND/HNC qualification with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar schematic design software.
• Understanding of relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
• Ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
