About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and control panels using CAD software.
- Specify electrical components, equipment, and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, installation guides, and testing procedures.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND/HNC qualification with relevant experience.
- Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar schematic design software.
- Understanding of relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
- Ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
