Our client is seeking a diligent and creative Electrical Design Engineer to join their established engineering department based in Coventry, West Midlands . This role is central to the conception and creation of innovative electrical solutions that drive their product development forward. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into functional and efficient designs, ensuring they adhere to all industry regulations and client specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component selection for new product designs.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Perform circuit analysis and simulations to validate design performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and technical reports.
- Support the prototyping and testing phases of new electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during product development and manufacturing stages.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical circuit design and PCB layout.
- Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium Designer or Eagle.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and associated peripherals.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and methodologies for electrical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality engineering work.
