About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and wiring harnesses for new products and systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, wiring lists, and technical specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and validation testing to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and mechanical designers to integrate electrical components effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and production.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and components to propose innovative design improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Electronics, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, specifically with control systems or embedded electronics.
- Proficiency with ECAD software, such as Altium Designer , Eagle, or similar.
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
- Familiarity with common communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
