About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and wiring harnesses for new products and systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, wiring lists, and technical specifications.
• Conduct design reviews and validation testing to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and mechanical designers to integrate electrical components effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and production.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and components to propose innovative design improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Electronics, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, specifically with control systems or embedded electronics.
• Proficiency with ECAD software, such as Altium Designer , Eagle, or similar.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
• Familiarity with common communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
• Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
