About the Role
Our client seeks a diligent and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing and creating detailed electrical designs for new products and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from initial design sketches to final implementation, playing a key role in the company's technological advancements and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using industry-standard CAD software.
- Design and specify electrical components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct performance analysis and simulations for electrical circuits and systems to predict behavior and optimize design.
- Collaborate with the hardware and firmware teams to integrate electrical designs with other system components.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and manufacturing instructions.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring design integrity.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical design and circuit development.
- Proficiency in using ECAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
- Understanding of power distribution, control systems, and PCB design principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
