About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and creative Electrical Design Engineer to join their innovative engineering department in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for new products and systems.
- Perform component selection and power calculations, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines to define project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct design verification and validation testing, documenting results and addressing any discrepancies.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, manufacturing instructions, and user manuals.
- Support the production team by resolving any electrical design-related queries or issues during manufacturing.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within an industrial or product development context.
- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design, such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Knowledge of relevant UK and international electrical standards and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
