Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including power, lighting, and control circuits.
• Produce detailed drawings, schematics, and CAD models using specialized software.
• Conduct load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and other essential engineering assessments.
• Specify electrical components and equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Review and approve technical submittals and respond to design queries during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
• Good understanding of UK electrical building regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
