About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
• Specify electrical components, materials, and equipment, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Conduct electrical design reviews and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure seamless production and integration of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during prototype development and production phases, implementing effective solutions.
• Stay abreast of new electrical engineering technologies and propose improvements to existing designs and processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer , with a strong portfolio of design work.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Solid understanding of control system design , PLC programming, and HMI development is advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant UK and international electrical standards and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
