Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and lighting layouts, using CAD software.
• Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and international electrical standards, safety regulations, and codes of practice.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of electrical designs.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather information and verify installation compliance.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Solid understanding of electrical principles, components, and safety standards (BS 7671).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
