Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer with a focus on Power Distribution to join their established team in Liverpool . This role is crucial for the design, operation, and maintenance of reliable electrical distribution networks for commercial and industrial clients. You will be involved in all stages of project lifecycles, from conceptualization and design to implementation and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, transformers, and cabling.
• Perform load calculations, fault level analysis, and protection coordination studies for distribution networks.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Manage the procurement and installation phases of electrical distribution projects.
• Conduct site inspections, commissioning, and provide technical support for existing infrastructure.
• Develop maintenance strategies and asset management plans for electrical distribution assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power distribution design and project engineering.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSS/SINCAL, or similar.
• Strong understanding of high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with relevant UK and international electrical standards (e.g., ENA ERs, BS 7671).
• Good communication and project coordination skills.
