About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team focused on power systems in Norwich . This role will involve the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure for energy generation and distribution projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems, from high-voltage substations to control systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of robust power solutions within a dynamic project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and specifying electrical equipment and systems, including switchgear, transformers, and motors.
- Developing electrical schematics , wiring diagrams, and control system logic.
- Conducting power system studies, including load flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination.
- Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems.
- Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering , with a focus on power systems.
- Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage equipment and power system protection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities.
