Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for renewable energy installations, including power generation, grid connection, and distribution.
- Perform electrical calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection for solar PV, wind turbines, or battery storage systems.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant UK and international electrical standards, safety regulations, and grid codes.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical components and systems on project sites.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical support during the operational phase of renewable energy assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in renewable energy systems highly desirable.
- Knowledge of power electronics, grid integration, and electrical safety standards pertinent to renewables.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools relevant to power systems.
- Experience with site supervision and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
