Our client is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to focus on the Renewables sector, based in Cardiff . This vital role will involve contributing to the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for a variety of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical systems for renewable energy installations, including grid connections and power conversion.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new renewable energy projects.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant electrical standards, grid codes, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and project managers.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and performance testing of electrical systems.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in the electrical design and engineering of power systems, preferably within renewables.
- Understanding of grid connection requirements and relevant electrical standards.
- Proficiency with electrical design and simulation software.
- Experience with project lifecycle management, from concept to completion.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for working on complex projects in Cardiff .
