About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and innovative Electrical Engineer to join their construction team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for a variety of construction projects, ensuring they meet all safety, performance, and regulatory standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Develop electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, standards, and safety protocols (e.g., BS 7671).
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess existing electrical infrastructure and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, power systems, and building services.
- Familiarity with relevant UK and international electrical standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
