About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proficient Electrical Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role involves the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment critical to the production process. You will work closely with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Design and modify electrical systems, machinery, and components according to specifications.
- Develop wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in production machinery and plant equipment.
- Implement electrical upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in an industrial electrical engineering role.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards, such as BS 7671.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
