- Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, control systems, and equipment.
- Prepare electrical schematics, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations, testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Select electrical components, equipment, and materials.
- Support installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and project engineering teams.
- Identify technical issues and develop effective engineering solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, quality, and technical deliverables.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant professional engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with electrical design and engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar tools.
- Ability to read and produce electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional engineering certification or chartered status.
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, or automation.
- Experience with electrical testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of power distribution, motor control, or industrial electrical systems.
- Experience working within regulated or safety-critical environments.
