About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and modify custom electrical systems, test rigs, and electronic circuits to support research projects.
• Provide hands-on technical support for a wide range of electrical and electronic laboratory equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic and electrical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to research activities.
• Contribute to the specification and procurement of new electrical components and equipment.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years (4+ years) of experience in a hands-on electrical engineering role, preferably in a research or laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment, soldering, circuit design, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and programming environments (e.g., LabVIEW) is advantageous.
• Strong practical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research team.
