About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join their team in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role is focused on the physical installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment for a variety of projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality workmanship. You will work closely with design engineers and project managers to bring electrical designs to life on-site. This is a practical role for an engineer who enjoys site-based work and is adept at problem-solving in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission electrical systems, components, and equipment according to design specifications and drawings.
Perform wiring and termination of power and control circuits, ensuring all connections are secure and compliant.
Conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional tests to verify installation integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues encountered on-site.
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations during all installation activities.
Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and clients to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Requirements

Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, JIB/ECS card).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical installation work.
Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation techniques, wiring methods, and regulations (BS 7671).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience with testing and inspection procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for site-based operations in Norwich .
