Electrical Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and meticulous Electrical Installation Engineer to join their team in Southampton . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems and equipment in various settings, ensuring all work adheres to the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements. This hands-on role demands a deep understanding of electrical principles, diagnostic capabilities, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a key member of the Installation & Maintenance team, you will play an integral part in delivering reliable electrical solutions to clients across Hampshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission electrical systems, wiring, and components according to specifications.
• Perform diagnostic tests to identify and rectify electrical faults and issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure all installations comply with current IET Wiring Regulations and health & safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
• Respond to emergency call-outs for electrical faults and repairs as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, C&G 2365).
• Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance across commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, systems, and safety procedures.
• Ability to use a range of electrical testing equipment accurately.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license for travel within Southampton and the surrounding region.
