About the Role
Our client requires a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Installation Engineer to join their expanding operations team in Reading . This role is central to the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems in various environments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of electrical installations, from planning and execution to testing and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician to contribute to significant projects within the Thames Valley region.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the installation of electrical wiring, conduits, and systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Install and connect electrical equipment, machinery, and control panels.
- Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning of new electrical installations to ensure safety and functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and other relevant standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Installation Engineer or a qualified Electrician.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, installation methods, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools for electrical systems.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence and be prepared to travel within the Reading area.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
