About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Installation Engineer to oversee and execute electrical installations for a range of projects in and around Norwich, Norfolk . This role involves ensuring that all electrical installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with design specifications and regulatory standards. You will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing installation activities on site and ensuring high-quality workmanship. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys on-site work and contributes to the successful delivery of electrical infrastructure in Norwich .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the installation of electrical systems and equipment on site.
- Supervise and guide installation teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
- Perform testing, commissioning, and handover of installed electrical systems.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above).
- Demonstrable experience in electrical installation, preferably in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, safety regulations (e.g., BS 7671), and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints and documentation.
- Good leadership and communication skills to manage site teams effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and site management.
