Electrical Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Installation Engineer to join their expanding team in Derby, Derbyshire . This position focuses on the planning, execution, and supervision of electrical installations across various commercial and industrial projects. You will ensure that all electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and standards. This is a vital role for an experienced engineer dedicated to high-quality workmanship in the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, contributing to the successful delivery of projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee electrical installation projects from conception to completion.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifying materials and installation methods.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and other relevant standards.
• Supervise and guide electrical teams on site, ensuring safe work practices.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare detailed reports, risk assessments, and method statements.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with a strong background in installation projects.
• Demonstrable experience in project management and site supervision.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and fault diagnosis.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as NVQ Level 3, AM2, or equivalent.
