About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site electrical installations and maintenance work, alongside remote planning, system checks, and reporting. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and upkeep of electrical systems and equipment in various settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position is ideal for a technically adept individual who can effectively manage both hands-on tasks at client sites and contribute to project coordination remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment according to specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions, implementing timely repairs.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Perform site surveys and assessments for new electrical installation projects.
• Document all work performed, including test results and materials used, and provide remote updates on project status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Installation Technician or Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, systems, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation) and certifications.
