Electrical Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Installation Technician to join their expanding installation and maintenance team in Manchester . This role is vital for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems and components for a range of commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring systems, and ensuring all installations meet stringent regulatory standards and client specifications. This is a hands-on position for a detail-oriented individual committed to high-quality electrical work and site safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and wire electrical systems, control panels, and associated equipment according to technical diagrams and specifications.
• Perform testing and commissioning of newly installed electrical systems to ensure proper function and safety compliance.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and issues on existing systems, undertaking necessary repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and other relevant safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installation work, materials used, and testing results.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades on-site to ensure seamless project completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Installation Technician or Electrician.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, schematics, and control systems.
• Proficiency in testing and fault-finding equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to electrical work.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.
