About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable operation and upkeep of their electrical systems and equipment in Plymouth, Devon, UK . This hands-on role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. You will play a vital role in maintaining operational continuity and ensuring the safety of the workplace. Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and failures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control circuits.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair and installation activities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems , AC/DC motors, drives, and control systems.
• Ability to read and understand complex electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Familiarity with health and safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Good diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
