About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and efficiency of their electrical infrastructure in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. You will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime, optimizing performance, and ensuring a safe working environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks.
Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment and techniques.
Carry out repairs and replacements of electrical components, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and operational disruptions.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdown situations, providing effective solutions to restore operations.
Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety regulations, and electrical codes within Wolverhampton .

Requirements

Qualified Electrician with a relevant certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical equipment and systems.
Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
