About the Role
Our client requires a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and efficiency of their electrical infrastructure in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. You will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime, optimizing performance, and ensuring a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks.
- Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment and techniques.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of electrical components, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and operational disruptions.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdown situations, providing effective solutions to restore operations.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety regulations, and electrical codes within Wolverhampton .
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with a relevant certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
