Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their industrial operations team based in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for ensuring the reliability and safety of all electrical systems and equipment across the facility, supporting the continuous operation of critical energy infrastructure. You will be involved in planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of electrical installations. This hands-on position offers the chance to work within a key UK manufacturing hub, contributing directly to operational uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all electrical equipment, including motors, switchgear, and control systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Install and commission new electrical equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or process environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with fault finding and diagnostic techniques on complex electrical systems.
• Familiarity with high voltage systems is advantageous.
