Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their facilities in Glasgow . This critical role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime. You will work with a variety of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to maintaining electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical machinery, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3) or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering .
• Proven experience in industrial or facilities electrical maintenance .
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures.
• Experience with control systems, motors, and variable speed drives.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Familiarity with H&S legislation related to electrical work in the UK.
