About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of electrical systems and machinery in their facility in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is essential for proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and timely repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency. You will work within a dedicated engineering team, applying your technical expertise to maintain a safe and productive working environment. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving and maintaining critical infrastructure in Wolverhampton .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently and safely.
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings to facilitate maintenance and repair activities.
- Install and commission new electrical equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
Requirements
- Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related trade, such as an apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, control systems, and power distribution.
- Ability to read and understand complex electrical diagrams and manuals.
- Experience with fault finding on various types of electrical equipment.
