About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their operational team in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role is essential for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment within their facility. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to contribute to the smooth running of operations in a stable and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of electrical equipment and systems.
- Respond to electrical breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out emergency repairs efficiently.
- Install, modify, and commission new electrical equipment and systems as required.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals to facilitate maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualifications.
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and procedures (e.g., BS 7671).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
