Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician – Woking Salary: Competitive Location: Woking, Surrey Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 40 hours per week We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join a busy Facilities Management team based in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer with strong commercial maintenance experience who is comfortable working across both electrical and basic mechanical building services. Working Hours Monday to Friday, rotating weekly across:
Early: 6:00am – 2:30pm Days: 8:00am – 5:00pm Late: 1:30pm – 10:00pm Shared on-call rota: 1 week in 9 Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems Respond to reactive maintenance, breakdowns and emergency call-outs Carry out electrical fault finding, repairs and remedial works Complete electrical installation, testing and inspection Maintain lighting and electrical distribution systems Assist with basic mechanical maintenance when required Diagnose faults across building services and plant Complete PPM records, reports and relevant documentation Liaise with clients, site teams and specialist contractors Monitor and coordinate contractors attending site Work alongside other engineers and trades to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently Assist other disciplines when required Carry out duties relating to water hygiene and L8 requirements when required Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times Requirements
C&G Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation 2360 or recognised equivalent Previous experience within electrical maintenance Strong electrical fault-finding and repair experience Experience carrying out electrical PPM within commercial buildings Electrical installation, testing and inspection experience Good understanding of critical and non-critical building systems Experience using CAFM/PPM systems and handheld PDA devices Good understanding of RAMS and health & safety procedures GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Desirable
18th Edition C&G Electrical Inspection & Testing or equivalent BMS knowledge Basic mechanical maintenance experience COSHH knowledge The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work independently. You should be organised, adaptable and able to manage your workload while maintaining a high standard of service.
