Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of their industrial facilities in Bradford . This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe working environment through proactive and reactive maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues across a wide range of machinery and systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding safety standards within a busy manufacturing setting. This hybrid role allows for both hands-on site work and some remote planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems.
• Respond promptly to electrical faults and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations , lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and modifications.

Requirements

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems, PLCs, and motor drives.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power systems and electrical safety standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
