About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning and upkeep of electrical systems and equipment at their facility in Plymouth, Devon . This hands-on role is critical for minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical machinery and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical engineer with a strong background in maintenance and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems to ensure reliability and longevity.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions promptly and efficiently, minimizing operational disruption.
Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems according to specifications and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the CMMS system .
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies related to electrical work.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls and provide on-the-spot solutions for electrical issues.

Requirements

Recognized qualification or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related trade.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, control systems, motors, and power distribution.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Awareness of health and safety best practices in electrical maintenance.
