About the Role

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their industrial operations team in Portsmouth . Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, inspections, and testing on plant machinery and building electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruption.
• Install new electrical equipment and systems, adhering to all wiring regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all electrical installations comply with current legislation (e.g., BS 7671).
• Respond to electrical emergencies and carry out necessary repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair work, and testing conducted.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or installation (e.g., City & Guilds 2330, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and motor controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment.
• A proactive attitude towards fault finding and problem-solving is essential for this role in Portsmouth .
