About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems and equipment within our facilities. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure, diagnosing faults, and implementing preventative measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational integrity, working both on-site and remotely to support operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.
- Carry out electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance activities, including testing, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, schematics, and control systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds) are highly desirable.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to electrical work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for remote support tasks in Wolverhampton .
