Electrical Project Engineer - Renewable Energy

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of electrical aspects for renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, overseeing resource allocation and contractor management.
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant UK and international standards and regulations.
• Liaise with grid operators, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Oversee site activities, including installation, testing, and energization of electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for electrical project challenges.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in project engineering, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy projects.
• Demonstrated understanding of grid connection requirements and HV/MV electrical systems.
• Proven project management skills, including budget control and schedule management.
• Experience with PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) processes and site acquisition is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
