About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Electrical Project Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to join their expanding team in Manchester . This role is central to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of ambitious renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms. You will manage all electrical aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of electrical aspects for renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, overseeing resource allocation and contractor management.
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant UK and international standards and regulations.
- Liaise with grid operators, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Oversee site activities, including installation, testing, and energization of electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for electrical project challenges.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in project engineering, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of grid connection requirements and HV/MV electrical systems.
- Proven project management skills, including budget control and schedule management.
- Experience with PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) processes and site acquisition is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
