About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Electrical Project Engineer to manage and oversee electrical aspects of renewable energy projects in and around Manchester . This is a site-focused role requiring hands-on involvement throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design through to commissioning and handover. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of solar, wind, or battery storage projects, contributing to the UK's green energy transition. The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer with strong project management skills and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the electrical design and engineering phases of renewable energy projects .
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
- Develop and review project documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure projects adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders on electrical matters.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Significant experience in project engineering , specifically within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, BESS).
- Strong understanding of grid connection requirements and power electronics.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
