About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Electrical Project Engineer to oversee electrical aspects of various projects from conception to completion within their Manchester office. This role is critical for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will be responsible for managing electrical engineering activities, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors, and ensuring all installations meet stringent quality and safety requirements. As this role is office-based, you will benefit from direct collaboration with a dedicated team and immediate access to project resources. Your expertise will be vital in driving project success and maintaining our client's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate electrical engineering aspects of projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to address technical queries and ensure compliance.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure quality control.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and final documentation for project closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control technologies.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple project streams simultaneously.
