Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Electrical Project Engineer to manage and oversee a variety of electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion, operating within a remote-first capacity. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of electrical systems across diverse applications. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. This is a key role in driving the successful execution of significant engineering initiatives for our client, based remotely but with strong ties to their operational centres including Milton Keynes .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and finalization of electrical engineering projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project progress and issue resolution.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols.
• Communicate project status, risks, and updates regularly to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering project management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical projects in diverse sectors.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating self-discipline and strong organizational capabilities.
