About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute electrical projects within their facilities in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role requires a hands-on approach to overseeing projects from initial planning and design through to installation, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and practical electrical engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop project plans, define technical specifications, and procure necessary equipment and services.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant electrical regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports and final project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical project engineering or management.
- Proficiency in project management software and electrical design principles.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Experience managing contractors and ensuring site safety compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
