Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute electrical projects from inception to completion, based remotely but with occasional travel to their Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire hub. This role is critical for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical specifications. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of project execution, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer to take ownership of significant projects and drive success in a flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate project activities, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required to oversee project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer, managing electrical projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project).
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage remote teams effectively.
