About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Electrical Project Engineer to manage and deliver electrical engineering projects from conception to completion in Derby, Derbyshire . This role involves detailed planning, resource allocation, and execution oversight to ensure projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. You will be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor electrical engineering projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Develop project scopes, detailed schedules, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, construction) and external contractors.
- Manage project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 3-6 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical field.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
