About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Electrical Project Engineer to manage and deliver electrical engineering projects from conception to completion in Derby, Derbyshire . This role involves detailed planning, resource allocation, and execution oversight to ensure projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. You will be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and successful project outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong project management skills and a solid background in electrical engineering to lead impactful initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and monitor electrical engineering projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Develop project scopes, detailed schedules, and resource plans.
Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, construction) and external contractors.
Manage project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
3-6 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical field.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
