About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to manage and deliver electrical engineering projects from inception to completion in Nottingham . This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to achieve project objectives. The hybrid working model offers flexibility, balancing focused project planning and reporting with essential on-site coordination and client meetings. This is a key role for driving project success in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical installations comply with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any challenges that arise.
- Communicate project progress, updates, and technical information to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, coupled with proven project management experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing electrical engineering projects of varying scales.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and electrical engineering principles.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
