Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to join their expanding project management team in Reading . This role is vital for overseeing the successful execution of electrical aspects of diverse projects, from initial planning and design through to installation and commissioning. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all electrical engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the electrical sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Experience with project management software and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure in Reading .
