About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to join their expanding operations in Edinburgh . This role is centered on managing the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing contractors, and ensuring all technical specifications and regulatory requirements are met. This is a hands-on role ideal for an individual passionate about project execution in the electrical domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical works.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations on project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, progress monitoring, and quality assurance checks for electrical installations.
• Prepare project reports, including progress updates, financial statements, and close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in project engineering or project management within the electrical sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, testing procedures, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and relevant electrical design principles.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with building codes and electrical standards in the UK is essential.
