M&E Project Engineer - Electrical Bias
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 per annum + package, depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Project Engineer with a strong electrical background to join a growing M&E business in West Yorkshire.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish and has a strong understanding of electrical and wider M&E project delivery.
The Role
As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects through the full lifecycle, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Reviewing and re-evaluating projects against initial estimates
- Procuring materials and managing the buying process
- Developing and maintaining project programmes
- Overseeing site delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Managing health and safety compliance
- Preparing valuations and managing variations, including pricing
- Managing projects through to final account and handover
- Supporting the estimating function during busy periods where required
- Taking ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong electrical background with a good understanding of full M&E delivery
- Previous experience delivering M&E projects within the construction or building services sector
- Proven experience managing projects from start to finish
- Strong commercial awareness, including valuations and variations
- Good procurement and project programming experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work independently
