About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Electrical Projects Engineer to manage and execute electrical aspects of various projects from their base in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This role requires a blend of technical expertise in electrical engineering and strong project management skills. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering electrical installations and upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project success in a varied project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage electrical project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Coordinate the design, procurement, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project phases.
- Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and completion certificates.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in managing electrical engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, standards, and regulations.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software.
